The AOH is the oldest lay Catholic ethnic organization operating in the United States.
The AOH is the largest Irish Organization and Community in the U.S. dedicated to Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity. https://aoh.com/

In the fall of 1998, an ad was placed in the Wilmington, North Carolina Star News to test the waters for a new Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) Division.  Fifteen men responded and, with the help of Tim Lawson and Rafe Jones, the new Wilmington Division was born.  A year later the Ladies Division was born.  The men’s membership of about 40 members has remained steady over the years.  Looking back over our past eighteen seasons we can take some pride in our social, parade, and charitable activities.

During January, February and the beginning of March 2018, we will be presenting our 10th Ireland trip raffle with net proceeds going to our Hibernian charities.

2018 will also see our 18th St. Patrick’s Day Parade participation. Over the past eighteen years, through participation in the parade, we have developed a “special relationship” with marching units of the U.S. Marine Corps.
