What Credit Cards Does Costco Accept In Canada?

Costco accepts Mastercard in store at Costco Warehouses and at Costco Gas Stations. Online at Costco.ca, Visa is also accepted, as is Mastercard. Costco also has two branded credit cards that can be used in-store: The CIBC Costco Mastercard and the CIBC Costco World Mastercard.

Costco Warehouses and gas stations do not currently accept cards from any network other than Mastercard. This means Costco Members shopping in-store cannot pay with American Express or Visa.

Most debit cards are still accepted, so if you have a Visa debit or Mastercard debit, you should be able to use either to make purchases.

Online at Costco.ca, Costco Members can make purchases with a Mastercard credit card in addition to Visa credit cards.

If you’re trying to make a purchase in-store with a non-Mastercard credit card, you don’t have many options beyond finding another payment method. At a Costco Warehouse, a number of other forms of payment are accepted:
