Looking to do something unforgettable to celebrate the lunar new year in 2025? Some luxury properties around the globe have worked overtime to ensure their guests can share in the cultural and culinary festivities. From Hawaii to Indonesia, here are five hotels that are welcoming the Year of the Snake with unmissable offerings.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach

Located just steps from Honolulu’s incredible Chinatown — one of the oldest in the country — guests at the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach are uniquely positioned to explore the city’s Asian heritage and make the most of the new year celebrations. In partnership with the stylish Fifth Avenue Club, guests can partake in an exclusive shopping experience with a thoughtfully selected collection of red, gold and snake-inspired items that pay homage to the Year of the Snake. The property also invites guests to take a promenade through its Forest of Red Lanterns and enjoy a Year of the Snake Lai See and a Lucky Candies gift box. Additional offerings include lion dance performances, receiving a customized fortune for 2025, and a cooking workshop on the Art of Dumplings.

The Peninsula Beverly Hills

Head to The City of Angels to enjoy food-focused lunar new year celebrations. The Peninsula Beverly Hills is collaborating with popular dim sum house Lunasia to create a special new year menu that will feature favorites like shrimp har-gow, indulgent egg yolk Sakura and supreme beef balls. Guests can also opt to celebrate the Year of the Snake by treating themselves to a delicious afternoon tea at The Living Room that will include sweet and savory snacks like Lunasia’s signature egg custard pastry. Choose from a selection of specialty teas or toast the lunar new year with a glass of Laurent Perrier Champagne.

Regent Phu Quoc

Experience a traditional Vietnamese new year with Tet Nguyen Dan festivities at the Regent Phu Quoc. From January 27 to February 2, 2025, the resort will showcase Tet festivities with events like a Vietnamese Lion dance, a calligraphy class, cooking workshops, restorative wellness rituals and more. One of the most beloved Tet traditions is the sharing of red envelopes containing "Lucky Money" (Lì xì). On January 30, guests of all ages will have the opportunity to learn how to make their own red envelopes. Guests will also be invited to write down their hopes for the new year and place the note under the resort’s Tree of Wishes.

Raffles Singapore

Usher in the holiday with a spectacular Singaporean Lunar New Year celebration at culinary haven 藝 yì by Jereme Leung at Raffles Singapore. Renowned for its exquisite Chinese delicacies, the restaurant has crafted a series of set menus — the Opulence Menu, Prosperous Menu and Abundance Menu — on top of its delectable a la carte selections. Chinese cuisine standouts and lunar year specialties will take center stage and include meals like poached squid and spotted garoupa.

The Sira, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa, Lombok

Why not celebrate the season of renewal at a new luxury resort? Hugged between stunning Mount Rinjani volcano and the gorgeous Gili Islands, The Sira beachfront resort just opened on November 1, 2024, and is marking the lunar new year with a series of culinary experiences. Head to the hotel’s all-day restaurant, The Island’s Table, for a fantastic family-style feast featuring Yu Sheng prosperity salad, wok-fried prawns and more. On January 29, Sija, the outdoor Asian-focused eatery will be offering Xin Nian Kuai Le Festive Sija Reunion Dinner, a spectacular 6-course spread, including lobster, Angus steak and yuzu cheesecake. An indulgent afternoon tea with local delicacies will also be on offer.
