Kimpton Aysla Mallorca: A Modern Mediterranean Garden Oasis

The peaceful boutique hotel is a dreamy launch pad for exploring Mallorca’s stunning beaches.

Following

Featuring chic contemporary design, dreamy pools, lush gardens, top-notch dining and drink options, and plenty of fun ways to stay fit, there’s a lot to love about Kimpton Aysla Mallorca boutique hotel.

Location

Located on the idyllic Spanish island of Mallorca, Kimpton Aysla sits away from the fray in quiet Santa Ponça, in Calvia. It’s adjacent to a golf course and tennis club, and is about a 15-minute drive to Palma de Mallorca.

Highlights

  • Every room has a terrace or private garden
  • 3 pools: family-friendly, adults-only, and indoor
  • Complimentary daily “social hour” featuring local wines
  • Cruiser bikes and longboards on loan
  • Fitness facility
  • Yoga program with classes on the lawn, paddle board yoga, and in-room fitness mats
  • Access to various sports facilities, including tennis courts and a golf course

Architecture and Decór

Kimpton Aysla’s modern Mediterranean architecture is the work of local architect Guillermo Reynés. The clean and contemporary design is meant to highlight and incorporate Mallorca’s stunning natural beauty, and the lush, peaceful gardens full of vibrant blooms and fragrant herbs promote relaxation.

Interiors are light and bright, with pops of aqua and citrus colors. As is the case with all of the properties in Kimpton’s portfolio, there’s a focus on vibrant, playful, and often whimsical pieces of art and unique furnishings throughout the shared spaces and guest rooms.

Rooms & Suites

There are 79 guest rooms, all with floor-to-ceiling windows and generously-sized bathrooms. Contemporary furnishings in neutrals are layered with art and objet that add splashes of Mediterranean blue, orange, and lime green. All of the Essential Rooms have terraces overlooking the lush and peaceful grounds, while upgraded rooms boast private gardens.

Guest rooms are stocked with goodies to make your stay feel pampered and cozy — including complimentary bottled still and sparkling water, minibars with Mallorcan treats, espresso machines, electric kettles and teas, yoga mats, and Codage Paris bath amenities. Rooms are also kitted out with wireless Bang & Olufsen speakers and Chromecast-ready TVs.

Wellness

Kimpton Aysla is home to the first Maison CODAGE spa in Spain (the same French brand as the hotel’s sister property in Paris). There are seven treatment rooms, as well as a halotherapy salt cave. Go for a pampering massage, facial, and to create your own bespoke skincare products tailored to your skin’s specific needs.

Dining

Saba Restaurant marries local Balearic ingredients with traditional Asian techniques, offering dishes like sushi, gyozas, bibimbap, and a silky egg custard with lobster and dashi. There’s also a sushi counter with a special omakase menu.

Saba Bar serves up beautiful and creative cocktails and local wines alongside tapas in a sexy ts indoor-outdoor garden space.

Zayt, the casual, family-friendly poolside restaurant, is great for fresh Mediterranean favorites like burrata salad, grilled octopus and fish, pizzas, and pasta.
